The following information should be included:

• Your name, affiliation, contact details and a brief biography (or attach a CV)
• Title of your book
• A technical description of the book (what it is about, why the subject is important and why you think it is needed)
• A tentative table of contents
• A description of who will buy your book (your target market)
• An estimate of the number of pages and figures in the final manuscript
• A completion date for the manuscript

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens after I have submitted my book proposal?
It is reviewed by experts in the field and their feedback is sent to you for assessment. Then your project is presented to our publishing committee and, once approval is obtained to publish the book, the terms of the contract are agreed.

How long will I have to write my book?
We recommend you allow approximately a year to complete the manuscript. However, the important thing is to provide a date you feel comfortable about being able to meet and we can discuss this with you.

How long does production take?
The production stages consist of copyediting, typesetting, proofreading and indexing. We are able to provide a speedy service; the average time is 6 months or less, depending on the length and complexity of the book. We will provide you with a schedule for proof checking and a projected publication date.

Will I be able to get involved with the marketing of my book?
On acceptance of your manuscript, you will be invited to put forward any ideas that may help in the marketing of your publication. As an expert in the field, your input is most valuable in creating a marketing plan for greatest effect.

What happens after my book is published?
On publication day, your complimentary copies are sent out. Then we will keep in contact with you to let you know how your book is selling and to discuss any future marketing or selling opportunities.
